Marion A. Jordan, age 93, of Kearney died Friday, January 11, 2013 at her residence in Kearney.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Pofahl officiating: Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon. Memorials are planned to the Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice program. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney are in charge of arrangements. Marion was born April 1, 1919 in Gibbon to Luther R. and Thelma (Nelson) Copeland. She attended District # 12 school in Gibbon and was a graduate of Gibbon High School in1932. She married Edwin “Ed” J. Jordan on November 29, 1935 in Minden. They lived in Kearney where Ed was employed at the City of Kearney water department. Marion was a wonderful homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving relatives include one daughter-Linda Schutte and her husband-John of Kearney; 4 grandsons-Randy Schutte and his wife Sheila of Kearney, Cory Schutte and his wife Vanessa of Grand Island, Rod Sinnard of Kearney and Tim Sinnard of Oregon ; 1 granddaughter-Laura Sinnard of Kearney; 1 sister-Bonnie Tucker of Fountain Valley, California; 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband-Ed on March 31, 1995, one son-Gene in 1978 and one grandson-Edwin, two brothers and four sisters.
