Caroline M. Robinson, 103, of Kearney died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at St. John’s Good Samaritan Center in Kearney. Funeral services will be February 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Kearney. Rev. Chad Anderson and Rev. Dave Sayler will officiate and burial will be at the Kearney Cemetery. Visitation is planned Wednesday form 5 to7 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney or prior to services Thursday at the church. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Presbyterian Church, Press On Youth Center Ministry, or St. John’s Good Samaritan Center. She was born January 4, 1910 in Kearney to Herman and Ida (Perrsdotter) Mattson. She grew up and attended school in Kearney until she had to quit at about age 16 to help her mother care for her nephew and niece when her oldest sister died. On May 16, 1935 she married Sidney C. Robinson in Kearney. Caroline and Sid owned and operated “The Steeple House” tourist home was located at east 25th street and Avenue E for many years. Caroline would have a bible club for the students on their way home from school at her home. She also enjoyed working with other ladies doing mission work through white cross. She was a charter member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Surviving relatives include her son; Scott Robinson and wife Bonita of Manning, daughter; Judy Blevins of Kearney, daughter-in-law Josephine Robinson of Hammonton, NJ, grandchildren; Mike Blevins and wife Deb of Kearney, NE, Michelle Adams and husband Brian of Bellevue, NE, Sara Trampe and husband Todd of Kearney, NE, Christopher Robinson and wife Bliss of Alexandria, VA, Robin Robinson and husband Brian Sugent of Trenton, NJ, Tiffany Carson and Husband Jeff of Grundy Center, IA and 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, son; Jack L. Robinson, grandson; Matthew Robinson, 9 brothers and 3 sisters and their spouses.
