Ronnie D. Adams, age 61, of Bellevue, died Saturday, August 7, 2010 at his home in Bellevue. Funeral Services will be Friday, August 13, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Kearney with PastorRebecca Hjelle officiating.  Burial will follow at Kearney Cemetery with Military Rites provided by the Kearney American Legion Post #52, Kearney VFW Post #759 and the Nebraska National Guard Military Honors Team. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney. Memorials are suggested to Good Samaritan Hospital or the V.F.W. care of the family. A message of condolence, tribute, or memory may be sent to www.hlmkfuneral.com. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services of Kearney is in charge of arrangements.

 

Ronnie was born on July 17, 1949 in Kearney to Orville E. and Grace Lucille (Wise) Adams. He attended school in Kearney and later served his country in the United States Army. During the Vietnam War Ronnie was involved in many battles, including the Invasion of Cambodia. He was a member of The First United Methodist Church, the American Legion and the V.F.W. He enjoyed “tinkering” and helping others fix things. He also enjoyed fishing and boating and took pride in the appearance of his yard.
