Kristine “Kris” M Griffing, 52, of Kearney died Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Funeral services will be
Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Kearney with Pastor Brian Klein officiating. Burial will be at the Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Memorials are suggested to the Habitat for Humanity. Kris was born June 27, 1959 in Smith Center, Kansas to Bernard and Patricia (Devall) Griffing. She graduated Kearney High School.
She worked at Eaton’s as a production operator. She was a member of the Kearney Evangelical Free Church. Kris was an Awanas leader at the church and was involved in Habitat for Humanity. She loved gardening especially flowers, reading, canning, and was very eco-friendly.
