Eldeen L. Busch
April 4, 1931 - January 27, 2012

Eldeen L. Busch, 80, of Wood River, Formerly Sumner, died Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Home in Wood River, Nebraska.

 

Services will be Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Trinity Lutheran Church in Amherst with Pastors Dean Hansen and Vic Rasmussen officiating.  Burial will follow at the Sumner Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.  Memorials are suggested to either Trinity Lutheran Church in Amherst or Grace Lutheran Church in Sumner.  A Message of condolence, tribute or memory can be left at www.hlmkfuneral.com.   Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney are in charge of arrangements. 

 

Eldeen was born on April 4, 1931 in Kearney to John and Florence (Armstrong) Schnacker.  She married Leonard Lovitt in Smith Center, KS on November 17, 1946.  Leonard passed away in 1976.  She married David Busch on March 1, 1985 in Kearney.  Eldeen grew up in the Amherst and Miller areas and attended school in Miller.  She and Leonard farmed and ranched south of Sumner for a number of years.  Eldeen was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Sumner and also served as the church secretary and treasurer for a number of years.  In later years Eldeen and Dave enjoyed traveling and working on yards.  Eldeen was very fond of music and dancing and also attending the Senior Cener Days in Amherst to play cards.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
