Mary J. Snyder, 96, of Kearney died Monday, January 30, 2012 at the St. Luke’s Good Samaritan Village in Kearney. Funeral services will be Friday, February 3, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral Chapel Kearney with Pastor Brian Klein officiating. Burial will be at the Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service Friday morning. Memorials are suggested to the Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice or the Kearney Evangelical Free Church. Mary was born December 8, 1915 in Wisner, Nebraska to Anton and Frances (Cermak) Kotik. She married Wendell Snyder on April 11, 1939 in West Point, Nebraska. They moved southeast of Kearney where they farmed. Her husband passed away in 1991. Mary moved into town in 1995. She was a member of the Kearney Evangelical Free Church and the East Lawn Kensington Extension Group. Mary enjoyed golfing, playing bingo, and watching sports on television.
