Virgil L. John, 91, of Miller died Friday, February 03, 2012 at Mother Hull Home in Kearney.  

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Miller United Methodist Church in Miller, NE.  Rev. Bonnie Brock will officiate and burial will be at the Armada Cemetery in Miller.  Visitation is planned Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney or prior to services Tuesday at the church.  Memorials are planned to the family for designation at a later date.  A message of condolence, tribute or memory can be left at www.hlmkfuneral.com  Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral Home in Kearney, NE is in charge of arrangements.

He was born May 31, 1920 to Albin and Christine (Muller) John at their home south of Miller in Buffalo County.  He attended school at Cherry Valley, south of Miller then farmed in the Miller area and also worked for the railroad. 

On July 11, 1944 he married Elaine Samp in Phillipsburg, KS.  He and his wife lived and farmed and ranched south of Miller.  His wife died in 2006 and he continued to live on the farm.
