Peggy J. Smallcomb, 80, of Gibbon, passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 at Mother Hull Home in Kearney. Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 12, 2012
at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Rev. Jack Heck and Rev. Duane Duley will officiate and burial will follow at Kearney Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer’s Research or Mother Hull Home in Kearney, care of the family. Peggy was born on December 28, 1931 on the family farm near Odessa to Charles V. and Eva (Simon) Sheen. She graduated from Kearney High School in 1949. Peggy married Maurice H. Smallcomb on January 31, 1951 in Kearney. She worked at K-Mart in Kearney and also Bob’s Super Store. Peggy was a member of the Kearney Eagles Lodge Auxiliary and Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Kearney. Peggy enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family.
